marXact was in need of a company flag to display outside of the offices. I played around with the company logo and colours to produce some options and the blue background was selected as the winner, this colour scheme was something that none of the employees had thought of but it seemed to stand out!
Beks & Beks are another company that work on the floor beneath, when they got wind that marXact were having a company flag designed they also requested one for themselves too. So here are the pair together on flag poles that allow them to spin in the wind!
The first round of flag designs featured a generally white background and stuck to the colours as per the original logo. They looked decent and professional enough but it felt like the flag didn’t stand out enough for a young start up company that was doing well for itself.
I wanted to go bolder on the colour choices and played around with the green and blue logo colours as the background. Green certainly helped the flag to stand out however it wasn't too favoured among the employees.
A dark blue background was the surprise contender and eventual choice to go with.
